Apple iPhone 7 Plus vs Pixel XL – Head to Head!

Google has finally killed the nexus line-up and came up with the new Pixel and Pixel XL. The first two phones branded by Google and what a beautiful and powerful handsets they are.

While on the other hand, Apple just launched its new flagships iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and people are already eager to see the crispy shots from iPhone 7 Plus’s dual camera.

Well, it’s really hardy to judge both these flagships from outside. So, let’s push them from inside to know which performs the best!

The iPhone 7 Plus has not changed that much in terms of design over the last flagship iPhone 6s plus. It comes with the same metal casing, flat back and rounded corners. This time, the antenna lines are taken to the top and bottom corners. The dual camera hump, which makes the iPhone 7 Plus a bit different from its predecessor. Headphone jack is removed and one more speaker grill is added to make the output sound even more louder.

Meanwhile, we robots are quite depressed with the design of Pixel XL. It’s not upto the mark and what we were expecting! It lacks IP68 water resistant which we found on iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy 7. However, the half matte and half glossy back looks satisfying. You’ll also find a finger print sensor on the back which is pretty fast though. There is no camera hump on both the pixels.

Apple added two new colors jet black and matte black meanwhile, Pixels comes in black, silver and blue.

Both the flagships features an 5.5 inch display.

But, which one has the sharpest display?

We think Google has beaten the iPhone 7 plus in this segment!

The display on iPhone 7 Plus comes with a 1080 x 1090 resolution which makes 326 ppi. On the other hand the Pixel XL’s display comes with a 1440 x 2560 resolution which makes 534 ppi. No doubt, the Pixel XL wins here but both the displays were easily visible in outdoor conditions.

There’s no doubt Apple has packed some serious hardware inside that delivers best in class performance. We think, the iPhone 7 Plus is the most powerful phone we’d ever used. Apple claims that the iPhone 7 Plus is 30% faster than its predecessors and 16 % faster than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Intensive multi-tasks are made buttery smooth with the help of A10 fusion core chipset and 2 GB RAM.

Meanwhile the Pixel XL comes with a Snapdragon 821 chipset which is incredibly powerful. It also has 4 GB RAM to get your work done efficiently.

The iPhone 7 and Pixel XL are really very powerful in terms of performance but still, the iPhone 7 Plus was faster due to its well optimization of iOS.

The iPhone 7 Plus’s dual camera setup features dual 12-MP camera sensors, optical image stabilization and a 1/-inch  sensor, the iPhone 7 Plus is capable to take some best pictures you can shot on any smartphone. Not only this, the portrait mode on iPhone 7 Plus’s camera is pretty dope to take some macro shots, it gives blurry effect to the background like DSLR.

Google claims that the Pixel XL has the best camera on any smartphone right now, and really it has! It comes with a 12. MP single lens setup, f/2.0 aperture. There are some software features like HDR+ mode which produces rich colors and high dynamic range. After testing it for few weeks we would like to say that it produces some of the best smartphone pictures ever.

The iPhone 7 Plus is packed with a 2,900 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Pixel XL is packed with a 3,450 mAh battery. Both the phones delivers best screen-on-time. But, when it comes to charging the Pixel XL wins the game. In our test, it took only 1.45 hours to charge from 0% to 100%.

The iPhone 7 Plus and Pixel XL, both the phones were flagships of 2016 and we are looking forward to get more and more flagships like this from manufacturers.
